Brassica oleracea var. Viridis is a type of collard plant known for its large thin leaves with veins. Also called Carolina Cabbage and Yellow Cabbage Collards, although the leaves are green they have a slight yellow-tint. The taste is a less bitter and more of a sweet flavor than the other varieties.

Growing Tips: 

Avoid planting cauliflower, kale, cabbage, and broccoli together with collard, this results in depleted soil nutrients and cross pollination. Collard cabbage should be grown in soil that is well-drained and fertile, ensuring complete sun exposure.
