Clemson Spineless Okra

Description

Abelmoschus esculentus was founded in 1980 at Clemson University, this species of Okra loves the heat and produces a vegetable with pods that are straight with grooves. These dark green pods give okra lovers a full-bodied flavor that is absolutely delicious!

Growing Tips:

To ensure plants do not rot make sure soil is at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Seeds should be planted ½” (cool soil) or 1” into warmer soil. Although okra plants require a lot of water, do not allow moisture to accumulate. Excess moisture makes okra prone to fungal disease.
