Questions on snail farming

1. I need about 100 snails (achatina achatina). Is it too small or too big in number for a start? How and when do I get them?
2. In place of hutch box, can I use big plastic basins/booters filled with soil/sawdust?
3. I dont really understand what u mean by ‘treated water’. Can I use well water or borehole water sold by mei-ruwa?
4. How do u give the snails water; is it by spraying or in a plastic tray?
