Just like any surgery, Laser Surgery for any correction can have severe or mild complications. Whether they occur during or after the surgery, they need to be immediately addressed.
Intraoperative Complications are the ones that happen during the operation. Eye Surgery Procedures employing the use of a microkeratome to construct a corneal flap could steer toward many of the complications in the course of the surgery. Perforation in the eye, even though rare, has happen in the past, which is associated mainly with an older microkeratome unit that is mainly due to improper assembly. Some of the other complications associated to the use of a microkeratome involve flap problems, such as thin, perforated, irregular or free flaps. Minute particles might be focused under the flap, causing floaters in the vision. Eye Laser Surgery can be beneficial, but please beware of the complications involved with it.
